E’ il giorno degli olandesi al Giro d’Italia che a Potenza, nella settima tappa del Giro d’Italia, hanno occupato tre dei primi quattro posti. A trionfare sul traguardo, posto al termine di uno strappo con punte di pendenza superiori al 10%, è stato Koen Bouwman (Jumbo-Visma) che ha distanziato i suoi compagni d’avventura Bauke Mollema e Davide Formolo anche grazie all’aiuto nei km finali di Tom Dumoulin. Il Gruppo Maglia Rosa, che si è selezionato lungo le salite dell’Appennino Lucano, è arrivato a 2’59” regolato da Lennard Kämna. Per Koen Bouwman, oltre alla soddisfazione del successo di tappa, anche la leadership nella Maglia Azzurra della classifica dei GPM.
