Ancora una vittoria per Simon Yates (BikeExchange) vincendo sul traguardo dell’Alpe di Mera! Pochi metri dietro di lui Joao Almeida (Deceuninck QuickStep) e più staccato Egan Bernal(Ineos) che conserva la maglia rosa. Resta fuori dal podio Damiano Caruso (Bahrain Victorious) che vince la volatina per il 4° posto con Vlasov. Oggi la fuga di giornata ha visto protagonisti: Lawrence Warbasse (Ag2r Citroen), Nicola Venchiarutti (Androni Sidermec), Mark Christian (Eolo Kometa), Giovanni Aleotti (Bora Hansgrohe), Quinten Hermans e Andrea Pasqualon dell’Intermarché Wanty Gobert. Il loro vantaggio non ha mai superato i 4 minuti. La corsa è stata decisa dalla scalata finale di 15 chilometri. A 6 km dall’arrivo, su iniziativa di Almeida, si è formato un quintetto formato, oltre che dal portoghese, da Damiano Caruso, Simon Yates, Aleksandr Vlasov, e George Bennett della Jumbo Visma. Solo Almeida (con un’ottima gamba nonostante sia uscito di classifica già nella prima settimana) ha potuto tenere la ruota del leader della classifica, con Caruso e Vlasov rimasti un po’ indietro. Il finale ha visto l’attacco di Almeida che ha staccato Bernal ma non è riuscito a raggiungere Yates. L’inglese rosicchia 34 secondi in classifica su Bernal
