La Maglia Azzurra Koen Bouwman, dopo essersi imposto in quel di Potenza, ha concesso il bis beffando allo sprint i suoi compagni di fuga. La 19^ tappa si è decisa all’ultima curva, impostata in prima posizione dal corridore olandese che ha relegato alle sue spalle gli altri superstiti dell’azione di 12 corridori nata dopo 20 km: Mauro Schmid, Alessandro Tonelli, Attila Valter e Andrea Vendrame.
Sull’ultima salita verso il Santuario di Castelmonte, dopo un primo squillo della Maglia Rosa, Landa ha provato un assolo ma il basco non è riuscito a fare la differenza e i tre tenori sono arrivati insieme al traguardo.
Tra Carapaz e Hindley il distacco in classifica resta di soli 3”, con Landa terzo a 1’05”.
