Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin) vince per la seconda volta in questa edizione dopo il successo di Carcassonne, una volata che per un corridore vale la vittoria in una grande classica, si impone uno dei migliori amici di Pogacar, al secondo successo dopo quello di Carcassonne. Battuti l’olandese Groenewegen e il norvegese Kristoff, Mozzato 11° miglior italiano. Philipsen corre per la Quick Step di Patrick Lefevere, che così apre e chiude il Tour: aveva conquistato la maglia gialla a Copenaghen con il successo di Lampaert nella cronometro inaugurale. Il danese Jonas Vingegaard vince l’edizione 109 del Tour con 2’43” sullo sloveno Tadej Pogacar e 7’22” sul britannico Geraint Thomas.
